Artist Statement
Two doves is a 16 x 20 cotton canvas with two doves circling each other in flight. I went for a warmer color palette for both birds to make a more relaxing feel. I made the highlights a warm sunny yellow but by adding a touch of blue for shadows it contrasts the yellow highlights in the wings. The final layer is a light yellow linseed oil wash to brings all the colors together. Enjoy!
