Artist Statement
Never give up on God. King Darius, ruler of Persia, made a decree stating that, 鈥渁nyone who praised any god or any man during the next thirty days except unto the king shall be thrown into the lion's den鈥� (Daniel 6:7). Daniel was faced with death for worshiping his creator, yet never forsook him. Through this trust and faithfulness, God shut the mouths of the lions who were meant to kill Daniel. In our present time, it is so easy to lose faith in anything including ourselves, other people, and our faith in God. Despite all the horrendous acts committed on this Earth, we can look to the Lord and give our troubles to Him. He hears all who call upon his name. When it seems like all is lost, have faith in the Lord as Daniel did.
Daniel 6:22 KJV: 鈥淢y God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions鈥� mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocence was found in me; and also, before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.鈥�
Being my first oil painting, this took 4 months start to finish.
